Report and photos by Ralph and Wendy Thomas.

Now that restrictions have eased in W.A. allowing public gatherings, to help get things on the move Ralph and Wendy Thomas hosted a private social gathering of Machinery Preservation members and like minded enthusiasts at their Beckenham home on Sunday. Approximately 30 attended, some bringing engines and other exhibits which added to the host’s collection and made for an interesting display.

The Perth warm winter weather was kind to us; allowing us to enjoy being outside, and being the first time most had caught up for some time, added to the atmosphere.

Attendees bought along something for morning tea and the Hosts supplied bacon sandwiches for lunch.

It was a great way to celebrate the end of the lock down, with another similar one planned for the not too distant future.
