Wentworth Junction Rally
It’s time to plan the Wentworth Junction Rally 2023 (incorporating vintage machinery from paddleboats, classic riverboats, tractors, trucks, bikes, cars & steam engines).
The Wentworth Junction Rally was first held in 1992 after a group of like-minded individuals wanted to create an event where people of all ages could display and view items from a “time gone by”. This year’s event is planned to be held over 2 full days with items being collected by restoration and preservation experts and enthusiasts. A momentum has built up over the past near 30 years, showcasing the Junction of Australia’s two greatest rivers, making this an event not to be missed. An event of this magnitude has attracted exhibitors and visitors from far into each of South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales, therefore greatly increasing the number of people visiting and staying in our Region. There will be an economic financial benefit to our community and local businesses; and it is imperative to keep this event.
The event will be held at Junction Park, Cadell Street, Wentworth, on the 8th and 9th July with gates open Saturday, 10am to 4pm and Sunday, 10am to 3pm. Other main attractions are planned, such as the Official Opening, Spit Fire fly-over (weather permitting), flotilla, exhibitors and community food and market stalls. In the past, this event has attracted up to 3,000 people over a weekend. The committee is looking forward to achieving this again in 2023.
